I wanted to try something new this year, so I folded this model from thin parchment paper whereas most of the time I use much thicker papers. Modern parchment paper has little in common with actual parchment which was made from animal hides, but its name fits the theme of this model quite well.

Using thin paper allowed me to fold without a bone folder and to make the 128×24 grid in relatively small size. This model uses my Square Pixel Tessellation together with an additional gadget which I use to smoothly transition molecules from one side of the paper to the other.
