Star with Color Change (CFW 132)

This is a simple star that incorporates a color change on the rays. It appears as an intermediate folding steps during the folding of Handle (CFW 133) and related models.

The center can be modified to create various stars. In contract to some other designs, in this case Fujimoto did not list each possible variant separately in Twist Origami I, and only mentioned the possibility of modifying the center in text. Due to this, I initially missed the fact he mentioned such variants. One example would be Pinwheel with Color Change, a design I found independently and only much later identified as a variant of Fujimoto’s earlier design.
