Last Friday (2022-08-19) I was folding with a bunch of friends and someone asked if I could fold a snail. I didn’t know any such model by heart, so I improvised one. Saturday evening I worked on the model a little and ended up with the improved version you see here. The basic plan of the model is the same as in the improvised prototype: starting from a kite base folded in half, use the big triangle for the shell and the small one for the body. Major improvements include: a color-change for the body, the model being able to stand on its own as well as generally improved proportions and shape of the shell.
