This pinwheel displays a fractal pattern with smaller pinwheels embedded inside larger ones, a series which can be continued indefinitely with thin enough paper.

By folding back the four largest blades, you can use this model as a modular unit.

I stumbled upon a design by Ilan Garibi, the Spiral Square which looks quite like the Fractal Pinwheel on the outside, but the internal structure and folding sequence are quite different.
