Originally, I made this star as a variant of Hidden Gem Star and called it “Hidden Gem Star variant B”. However, the modification is only in the rays, and can be combined with many different central elements. In order to avoid a two-dimensional naming scheme (such as: Hidden Gem Star center variant A rays variant B), I decided to give it a separate name. Since the central element is now fully visible, I went with the name Unhidden Gem Star.

Just like Hidden Gem Star, Unhidden Gem Star can be tessellated.

The same pattern appears in the center of Svenja Windt’s Hexastar model in an apparently independent discovery.
