A modular star I designed in early 2020. There are several ways in which the units can be connected, of which the one shown here is most stable. Since the layering order of units changes every two, this is an “iso-area star”: both sides are identical (were it not for using different paper). In most other modular stars, unit layering remains constant throughout the model, leading to the front and back having a different “twist direction”, usually also combined with the units looking different on both sides.
