I designed this model as cover art for Surface Charging and Points of Zero Charge, a book by my father, Marek Kosmulski. It is a reference work in electro- and surface chemistry.

The model represents the crystal structure of gibbsite, consisting of layers of regular octahedra. Individual octahedra are not connected in this design. Each octahedron is made from four Trimodules (Nick Robinson) and the total number of units used is 68×4 = 272.

The book and cover art as a whole are property of the publisher and are presented here for information only.
