Today, on November 11th, Poland is celebrating 100 years of regaining independence. This origami box which represents an outline of Poland is an example of the free-form box technique which I recently developed and which makes it possible to create boxes with almost arbitrary motifs (as long as they fulfill a few simple properties) using only free-form folding and a template rather than geometrically constructed reference points.
