This model is one of Fujimoto’s few figurative origami designs, but a very distinctive one. I really like it for its simplicity and elegance. Despite being a representative origami model, it has a strong geometric base which it shares with some boxes. In particular, it uses a shutter-like mechanism for closing the bottom, very typical of Fujimoto’s designs.
