I designed this simple star specifically in order to fold it from a unique sheet of paper I got from John Gerard paperworks. It is hand-made paper with a watermark, produced using traditional methods. The watermark’s symmetry clearly called for a design based on hex grid, and I wanted the model to have a window just one layer of paper thick in the center in order to highlight the watermark.
