Hexagonal Honeycomb II Unit
This is a family of units which can be used to build structures consisting of connected hexagonal pillars, resembling honeycombs. Pillars can be capped at one or both ends. On one end, the cap is not exactly aligned with the top of the pillar. Caps inserted at this position can be used for stiffening the structure.
The different types of units in this family are folded from square sheets of different sizes. Assuming the square used for the pillars proper has a side length equal a, the connectors are folded from squares with a side of ⅛a and the caps use paper with a side of ⅜a. One of the images shows how to conveniently cut a cap and a number of connectors from a square with side length ½a.
