PTO (Polish Origami Association) 2023 Convention in Łódź

On July 13th-16th, I attended the origami convention of Polish Origami Association (Polskie Towarzystwo Origami, PTO) in Łódź, Poland. Our special guest was Bodo Haag, with whom I had a number of interesting discussions, and folded a lot both during and besides planned workshops. In total, almost 50 people showed up, and we spent time folding and talking, usually staying up quite late. I gave a presentation on Shuzo Fujimoto, and presented some models he himself folded. One of my workshops was on the Z-Box. The other was originally planned to be a quick series of Fujimoto’s 3D models: Pentagonal Box (CFW 219), Octahedron, and the Fujimoto Cube, but spontaneously developed into a 5-hour marathon of many more models. On top of origami, we also had a guided tour of the city and its special aura.
