Foil paper

…/paper-review-3-japanese-foil

Foil paper (sometimes called simply foil) is a class of composite materials consisting of a sheet of paper glued together with a sheet of metal (usually aluminum) foil or covered with a metallic sheet using some other technique. This kind of paper has very good memory thanks to the foil layer and thus allows shaping in ways which would be difficult to achieve with regular paper. In contrast to tissue foil, in foil paper the paper layer plays a more important role in the product’s final properties, though the difference between the two classes is somewhat fuzzy. Properties vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, but you can still find the general review of this paper useful.
