Awagami Kozo Natural Select Paper Review

Wedge Flower Tessellation was my first fold using Awagami Kozo Natural Select paper. I liked it a lot, and it looks beautiful but was not so easy to work with for this type of model. It is soft, which makes collapsing difficult, and the thickness varies a lot within a single sheet. Being soft, it prefers to “flow” rather than to “break” and it offers little resistance when folding.

There is no noticeable grain direction as is common in hand-made paper. Regardless of difficult folding, it’s a beauty, and the fringed edges can be used in a model to good effect.
