Folding Felt
I folded Max Hulme’s Cat from a square of felt pasted onto aluminum foil. Surprisingly, this composite material was quite well foldable, and even had a poor but acceptable memory for folding a simple model like this.
The main limiting factor was the thickness, but overall I’m quite happy with the result as felt imitates natural fur quite well. The whole folding process resembled wet folding a bit in that the medium tended to flow rather than break when folded and yielded better to shaping and sculpting than to precise folding.
