Tea Tag Folding

While tea bag origami has gained some popularity, it seems that tea tags have not been used so much. As an avid tea drinker, I had to try folding some models from tea tags as well. They make interesting folding material since they are rather small while the paper is thick. The sheet is usually not exactly rectangular but may be slightly rounded, have cut off corners, etc. These features can be used to the folder’s advantage as needed, but the model has to remain very simple anyway.

A practical use of this origami genre is marking different peoples’ cups at a party by folding different models from their tea tags, just as straws of different colors can be used for soft drinks.

This page lists folding instructions for models of a single type. You might be interested in the models themselves instead.
